I have been flying in business for the longest time but for this flight my wife joined me in Hong Kong mid-itinerary and she bought a premium economy ticket, so I exchanged seats with her and sat at the premium economy section. This flight took off one hour late, and lunch wasn't served till 3pm. I had to ask the stewardess about lunch as many around me have been served but not my seat row. Got a very curt answer and an equally cold and curt service when the crew finally came around with the food. Considering that this was how I was treated as a Krisflyer Solitaire.member, I can't imagine how other passengers must have been treated. I totally regret having built my loyalty status with Singapore Airlines. It's an airline without any sense of loyalty to their customers beyond what "service-by-the-book".. It's too late for me now to change this but wanted to share this (and my long time experience with Singapore Airlines) with readers so that you don't make the same mistake.
