I will not be renting from Avis again at least at this location as I waited 4 hours to pick up my vehicle. If anything I'd like a half of refund for the cost of the rental for that horrible experience. There's no reason then you had such a few staff members on with so many people in line to pick up vehicles

The staff member inside the airport terminal was extremely friendly and personable. Love people who do their job with joy. Both the check-in and return were quick, easy, and efficient. This was actually my 3rd time renting from Budget in 1 week's time. Due to their customer service, efficiency, and newer, quality cars, I stuck with them when I needed to rent a car. I'll continue to favor Budget whenever I'm in need of a rental.

1st of all, dollar was not even open and we had to check out with Hertz. Secondly, they didn't have the kind of car that I reserved, so I ended up paying an extra $100, plus fees which came to an additional $200 above what I had already paid and reserved. Thirdly, the car was in need of servicing, and they said they didn't have another car to give me so I had to drive it around with the oil light flashing on the entire time. Because of this, we did not feel safe going to Shenandoah Park, which was supposed to be a major part of our trip. I will never rent from Dollar again.

Staff was great! I've rented cars in several locations recently and they were the best. Car was nice, but there was some stuff (hair clips, a lighter and a bottle of clear fluid) left in the car.

The Easy Pass could have stuck to the windscreen better. It feel off while driving several times and left me feeling around for it because I needed it.

Drop off was easy

Thrifty service agent was unpleasant like she hated every minute of dealing with customers and I could have done without that. Was directed to another car rental place in the rental car area (I can't remember which kiosk, Avis maybe?) but then the envelope they used was Dollar, very confusing. No car was ready even though it didn't seem busy. We stood around for 30 minutes!!! Finally they brought us the car, which I found out was a 7 passenger SUV "recreational style" while I thought I had rented a full size SUV. I was told you can't rent a full size SUV on Thrifty.com. Such a bummer but we made due. There was melted candy below the window in the 3rd row seat on the left. Disgusting. How did they not see it? Never again with Thrifty!!

Depending on the time of day you land, one person might be managing 2-3 different rental desks (as has twice been my experience). The first vehicle I was given on this particular trip (a Jeep Cherokee) reeked of cigarette smoke and was not in great shape inside or out.

It took 5-minutes to pick up the car. Very good customer service at this location. I was very happy with my rental. I just wish the price of rental cars wasn’t so high. I’m looking forward to the day when the prices drops back to where they were pre-pandemic. Hopefully!

The drop off was easy and efficient

I was told that they did not have my car I reserved, then they did have it. It had no gas, so I had to wait for it to be filled up. They didn’t say anything about a $200 deposit, and they kept changing the price I paid while I was there.

Wasn’t allowed to rent car because I have a NC drivers license

between polices and their needs! Due to The environment that we are in with this Virus I’d 2020 I can not get into the DMV to change my drivers license to VA! But If I were traveling and my car broke down and I need a rental ! This would not happen at this location!?

Polices are not standard across brand! And each location is given the power to stretch or blur the line between polices and their needs! If I were Kayak, I would stop selling Allianz insurance with Enterprise rentals, they don't accept Allainz, so you're basically making people throw money away. I didn't appreciate that very much. In fact, I've been spreading the word.

I rented a intermediate car and they gave me a compact. It didn’t have cruise control and the seat was very uncomfortable. I asked the guy about why I paid for an intermediate size car and got a compact and he lied and told me the car he rented me was intermediate.

Had to book off airport location as airport didn’t have cars. Uber’d to location and there were 5+ customers without cars- they said that vehicles were overbooked by at least 20 for the day and that they couldn’t do anything about it. The lack of effort to remedy the situation was terrible. Ended up going to a low rate provider that had cars available. Their car was terrible, but they actually had customer service.

I arrived at the Richmond airport, where I requested to pick up and drop off the car, to find out that the pick up location was 25 min away and they would not transfer the reservation. I had to take an Uber to the pick up location to get the car.

The people working with me were very nice. The car was nice and clean.

I pre-paid, because the ad said that it would create a quicker pick up. When I got to Hertz, the gentleman was working with another person. He kept leaving the room to ask someone a question. You could hear several people in the next room talking and laughing, but no one came out to help the gentleman. When he finally got to me, he informed me that I would have to go to another location ( about 20 minutes away) to get the car I reserved.(Glad I wasn't dropped off the pick up the car!) The reservation was not transferred, so there was more waiting once I got to the next place. All in all, it took me 2+ hours to pick up the car. I found that rather frustrating, as you can imagine. I was VERY late arriving at my destination.
