Got a free upgrade from a Toyota Corolla to a Ford Mustang!

Everything was smooth.

When I reserved a full size car, I was under the impression that I had reserved a Toyota. When I picked up my car, I had a selection or full size cars, but no Toyota options.

First and foremost, when someone books a convertable, thats what i expect. That person handeling check in at the jetblue terminal in orlando on saturday morning should be sent back for retraining. After showing my reservation with the convertable, he goes back and forth with me, telling me that in the “system” its a different category of car. I then went to show him the reservation again and he says thats not an avis reservation number. He says i should call the number on the reservation… so i did. And. IT WAS AVIS IN ORLANDO!!!! At this point im beyond furious going back and forth, that i said, in general, I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS, GIVE ME WHATEVER YOU HAVE SO I CAN GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE! Instead of resolving the issue, this individual wants to act like my ex girlfriend and tell me to calm down in a passive tone!! And then he says youre not allowed to be nasty here!! OOH IM SORRY, I DIDNT KNOW I LANDED IN FN PLEASANTVILLE!! AND I SAID THAT IN GENERAL NOT TO YOU!! This went on for 5-7 mins with people and kids online. Instead of focusing on a resolution, this chump wanted to argue with me, since he had no idea how to resolve the issue!! i paid for a convertable and got a dirty sports car. Inside and out. Cant wait for my next experience!

Great car at a great price. However, when booking through 3rd party it should be much clearer that there are many things to consider beyond the wonderful price you see. Insurance, proof of declaration page needed at check in. The CC hold they need can be very high and not released in a timely manner. Also in Orlando the ez pass thingy is extra. There is a lot of good there so I wish these other details were better.

They really push the extra car insurance despite me showing my declaration page of insurance they still charged me and then I complained to a manager, Fred, who was excellent and removed the charges, but you shouldn’t have to fight that hard. That’s why I gave mediocre reviews.

I'm 100% sure I booked a car with no pre-payement (little bit more expensive), as I new I might have a driving license issue. Despite that KAYAK debited me on the spot at the reservation moment. My driving license issuewas confirmed and I could not change the booking to my wife name because prepaid. I ended booking another car !!! Very very bad experience so far! Let's see if after this message, I will receive a call?
