Cheap Car Rentals in Daytona Beach

Reserved a truck to move a couple items that could only be moved by a truck. Made the reservation 3 days in advance. When I arrived they had no trucks of any type or size. This has happened before with Budget/Avis. I learned long ago not to prepay as they usually do not have the class of vehicle reserved and give you a lower class vehicle. Then you must spend 30 minutes on hold to get a refund on the price difference. The next time I need a simple truck, locally, I will just get a uhaul as they always have what one has reserved. Maybe Budget/Avis should use the Rental software from U-Haul. Hmmmmm

Van we wanted was available. No wait to pick up the car. Easy drop-off.

The car we rented was not available at the time we came to pick up. We were told it was coming from another location, but it was not there when we arrived.

Was great we enjoyed the convertible.

Beautiful car and it was what was promised. There was limited staff at the counter to help check in and out, but other than that it was excellent! Thank you!

I rented 2 different vehicles within a week from Dollar at Daytona Beach. The first time, I waited for an hour to pickup my vehicle. The CSR was friendly and helpful. When I dropped off my vehicle, the IN milage was not accurately recorded by the CSR. The second time I picked up, I waited over 2 hours; the rental in/out time was not updated; the fuel qty was incorrect, the manager the helped was dismissive of my concerns and the other customers concerns (when we mentioned the wait, she said she has been there for 4 hours herself in a very mocking way. I contacted dollar via phone about the fuel issue. When I returned the vehicle, I notated the fuel issue but I was still charged for the fuel usage and the IN fuel qty was incorrectly recorded. This place sucks. I will literally never ever use dollar again.

Your computer systems don’t line up and because of that we had the old bait and switch pulled on us with a $60 up charge for the only car available. If kayak doesn’t have access to the rental car’s inventory then the two businesses shouldn’t be working together.

I was 2 hours late picking up my car and Avis gave away my car, then tried to upcharge me for giving me another car. So I canceled my reservation. I don’t think I will be renting from Avis again anytime soon.

I pre-ordered for a car I thought was to be picked up at the Daytona Beach Airport (read the fine print). Just before arriving at DAB, I received a phone call telling me that my economy car wasn't available so instead of a $45 rental, they only had a $70 SUV available. Once at the airport counter, I challenged the online reservation only to be told that it was at "Airport ???? location" and not here, and my car rental would again be about $70. So, I took the Camry that was available with which I was quite pleased. Upon dropping the car off at their assigned alternate location on the other side of the DAB airport (ATP Aviation), I called numerous times on their local number to verify my drop-off time and got no answer. Very frustrating as calls to the AVIS main number only put me with longer than needed re-routs and wait time - so I hung up!

The SUV driver's side windshield wiper blade was shredded and basically unusable. To make matters worse, I had to drive through torrential downpours. Why wasn't this checked before allowing it to be rented? You're lucky I haven't filed a lawsuit against Avis.

I was never told I had to present the same card I used to reserve the car it was at home I had to drive back and get it and set me back an hour and a 1/2
