Arrived at PHX airport to pick up a rental, for which I had a reservation. Huge lines were waiting for me and I didn’t even get half way through the line in 30 min of waiting. Some of the employees started making announcements that they weren’t taking walk-ins anymore and only those with reservations would be provided a vehicle. No one moved from the line. About 10 min. later, a frustrated customer left the desk and started telling the others waiting in line that she had been waiting for a rental car since yesterday evening and was told again today that there weren’t enough rental cars currently available and that it may be 10:00 PM before they have time to clean the vehicles returned today. Horrible inventory management, only 4 employees working the counter during the peak time of the day, poor customer service. I was only renting a car for five hours of the day, so I decided to skip the rental and take an Uber. Didn’t get my money back even though I wasn’t provided with a service/product. Definitely will not use Thrifty again.
