Cheap Car Rentals in South Mountain, Phoenix

Availability and easy to rent. The car I got seemed not be cleaned in and out.

The wait to pickup a car was more than 3 hours. I left and went to another company, was out of there in 15 minutes. Budget did nothing to get the line moving quicker, they didn’t even communicate with anyone. 3 hours!!! And it was like this a few months ago too. Never again.

Very efficient process to pick up the car. I was given a very comfortable SUV at a fair price. No complaints whatsoever.

They did not have the Camry I booked, so they gave me a Cadillac instead. Pick-up and drop-off was easy.

Line up at the airport was not good at all. Also once we finally got served, as we waited for our vehicle ( again in a long line ) it became apparent that when you gave a sneaky tip that you got serviced much faster. Poor service at pick up. But the car and value for Money was good.

Arrived at PHX airport to pick up a rental, for which I had a reservation. Huge lines were waiting for me and I didn’t even get half way through the line in 30 min of waiting. Some of the employees started making announcements that they weren’t taking walk-ins anymore and only those with reservations would be provided a vehicle. No one moved from the line. About 10 min. later, a frustrated customer left the desk and started telling the others waiting in line that she had been waiting for a rental car since yesterday evening and was told again today that there weren’t enough rental cars currently available and that it may be 10:00 PM before they have time to clean the vehicles returned today. Horrible inventory management, only 4 employees working the counter during the peak time of the day, poor customer service. I was only renting a car for five hours of the day, so I decided to skip the rental and take an Uber. Didn’t get my money back even though I wasn’t provided with a service/product. Definitely will not use Thrifty again.
