Cheap Flights to Bari

Bari overview

When is the best time to fly to Bari?

Although the summer months of June, July and August mark the height of the peak season, some travellers actually prefer to visit during spring and autumn when it is a little cooler. Visitors may find walking tours around the town more comfortable when it isn’t so hot.

Summer temperatures range from the high teens to high 20s C, although it has been known to soar to the early 40s C. This is also the driest time of the year. As there will be an increase in tourists, in particular families who are on summer holidays, flights to Bari and accommodation will be more expensive at this time.

Spring and autumn, on the other hand, experience temperatures between the low teens to low 20s C, which some visitors will find more preferable for exploring the city on foot. Keep in mind there is a slight increase in rainfall during these seasons, particularly during autumn. Book a flight to Bari in spring (May) to see the town’s main festival, which celebrates St. Nicholas and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Winter is the low season in Bari and although it does not get too cold, temperatures are on average around 5-14°C, there is an increase in rain. If you’re happy to dodge the showers then why not take advantage of a cheap flight to Bari? If you visit during this time, make the most of indoor attractions, such as, seeing an opera at The Petruzzelli Theatre and trying some delicious local food in one of the many restaurants.

There is a large shopping mall with both international and local shops, many focusing on high end fashion and good quality tailoring. If you wish to explore further afield you will find a landscape of cultivated fields and deep valleys dotted with the unique trulli homes, which have distinctive grey conical roofs. Water lovers will find safe beaches with white sand and clear waters.
