Car was new and clean

We had a problem and needed to pick up the car 4 hours later than the time reserved. Called several numbers. No one could help me. No one spoke English. Finally someone said I would have to cancel my reservation and create a new one and it would be more money. I did not do that. Got to the Car rental place and my car was there. It wasn’t s problem. Put me through a lot of unnecessary aggravation. Will not be using kayak again .

Picking up the car at a gas station in Bayeux, France was odd and disconcerting. One gas station attendants was available to provide service and advice--in between waiting on other customers. .All worked out as a car (in mediocre condition) was available. we had some difficulty working out its features, and there was no one to give advice. So picking up the car was more stressful than we expected. Dropping it off a week later went well.

I would have liked to know that the Hertz store in Le Havre was closing early on December 31st. I would have liked more help when I requested road side service from Hertz. I was unaware that I would be charged a 130 Euros for an intercity fee on top of the price I was quoted during the online reservation.

Was given a car without AC. Dreadful drive on a sunday without any locations opened along the way to swap cars. Once one was identified, I had to drive and now i am being charged for the mileage.

Nice MB car for good price but didn’t disclose that the unlimited mileage was only for 500 km until I got there and it was too late to do anything else

Came to Avis at Gare Rive Droit, France after getting off train ready to head out but Avis office totally closed for 2 hours for lunch. Waited an hour. Return was really awful. No clear instructions as where to return car. Circled the station for 30 minutes finally going through paid parking on top

The rental agency was right across from the train station. The car was ready and the agent was readily available. The car ran great! We had a close connection with our next train and the agent got our car where it needed to go.

We added gas and GPS to our bill which doubled our cost. My Google Maps did a better job than GPS. Could have done without it and saved a lot of $.

I reserved automatic transmission car for 1100 pickup. No car was available at 1100. Furthermore, when a car was eventually found, it was manual transmission. This was a deal-breaker.
