Everything was excellent! Their customer service is amazing! I would just like a bit more info on where to go right from the moment you make the reservation cause I was waiting for a bit until it occurred to me to call ha! However not everyone coming from out of town will have access to call a Guatemalan phone number. THANK YOU for a great experience!

When I arrive to Alamo they had one car which I was the one I reserve but the guy in charge told me that they didn’t have any more cars and he didn’t know if they were gonna get more so I never got the car 10 minute later 4 guys shows up to rent the car I had reserve I believe they rent the car for higher price because it was Semana Santa en guate and I told the guy I was gonna put a report when I get lo los Ángel from Guatemala and he told me to go ahead that it i did the reservations in la not Guatemala very bad experience

JianCarlo is a rockstar! Did a lot of research as to which companies were good/legit/formal, and Alamo was the only one that made the cut. No hidden fees or agendas and the service was beyond expectations. JianCarlo went above and beyond helping us during a crisis, I truly hope he's cherished in the organization.

They didn’t have a car on my reservation fare and they said that wasn’t car available and I had to postpone my pickup to the next day. I had to argument several times until they assumed the responsibility and give a upgrade, so I could have the car at the day of my reservation. Once That was done, the experience on pickup and drop off was totally fine.

They where no freindly at all they could not speak English even because it was an international airport,,, or maybe they played that they know any English to try to get u for extra charges this people in Guatemala are thieves be careful spread the world I will do the same on all possible media

When we got to the offsite counter, they told us we needed to buy extra $200 insurance even though we had already bought insurance online as well as leave a $2000 deposit that wasn't mentioned anywhere before. Wound up getting a car elsewhere. Very poor. Also car they wanted us to talke was really banged up and missing nobs on the center console.

There was a person at the airport who was very helpful in arranging a ride to the off-airport location.

Pick up took a long time. At drop off they charged us for a scratch that was on the car before we left. Take pictures of every little ding and scratch if you don't want to be changed extra

The car was ok. tires a little run down. the staff checked in ok.

We purchased full collision damage waiver. When actual damage occurred on the car, we drove to avis the same day. told them about the issue and returned the car actually a day early. We were told that the insurance was not going to cover the damage with some week excuse (in fact that we had to immediately inform avis of the accident). There is no good cellular in Guatemala, so we could not call and instead drove to avis immediately. The accident did not involve any other car. ( in fact the roads are narrow and there was no possibility to hang out where we damaged the car (rocks at the side of the road). The car's functionality was not impaired at all. We were told to come back the next day (where we actually took off to return to the US), after the local manager had spoken to his supervisor. We returned the next morning, ready to take the flight. At that point the manager called his supervisor and customer service representative and then told us that the CDW would not cover because we had not immediately called (which was impossible). Needless to say, we will fight line of argumentation. It is just very frustrating to have purchased this kind of "peace of mind" insurance only to find out that the contract seems to be illusory. Will definitely not rent from avis again and very upset about their gamble.

Ended up walking away from my reservation. When I pointed out that the fees were already included in the total I was quoted, the employees became shifty and came up with a random airport tax/fee that doesn't exist. They quoted me one amount for a deposit, then they changed their minds because the rental is an SUV. I had no confidence left, so I walked away and rented from another rental company.

I reserved early because of the season. When we arrived they acknowledged our reservation but simply said they didnt have any cars. I thought the point of a reservation was precisely so there would be a car.

Car was clean

It wasn't the car I ordered. Despite several days in advance with confirmation car wasn't waiting for me and I needed to go for 2WD instead of 4x4 which prevented me from entering certain areas and made my journey in Guatemala risky and stressful.

I never will use this company again it's really poor service they offer once and they never get the right car you order online. I order toyota fortuner, never was there I took a I trooper 2015 was a noise air vent not working right and Shake on high speed I do not recommend to over people

They did not have the car I reserved, nor any car at all. We were left stranded in a country we had never visited with no car. The budget agent at the airport said that even though we had a reservation, he did not have a car for us. He suggested other questionable car rental places at a much higher price. We ended having to find our own car at other place. This was the worst car rental experience of my life, will never use budget in my life again.
