I like the fact that they gave automatic. They charged me numerous times extra to include mileage that was agreed upon to be unlimited. 3 different charges that total close to $2,000 . They sent me receipts in German. I asked for English version and still waiting on it. I have been enterprise customer for over 20 years but may not be after this experience.

I didn’t like not getting the car I reserved because it was not at the airport and the agent giving me a bunch of BS. After a 9.5 hour flight I had to settle for an 8 passenger van instead of a 5 passenger Ford S Max. Then was charged a higher rate.

It was quick and easy, only thing that wasn’t great was that at first they charged a way higher rental amount to my card (aside from the deposit) then the one I booked it for here on kayak. However they corrected the amount to what was originally booked when they charged it 2 days later. So all good in the end.

Everything was great - except when I returned the car, the fuel tank "didn't work". The fuel kept pumping in, I paid 25 euros after driving 100km from the last fillup - but the fuel gauge in the car did not work, and the level stayed the same.

Took an hour to pick up the car. I captured a picture of a scratch on the car before we began our drive, called it out when we returned it and I was still blamed for the scratch via email a day later. It’s the second extremely poor experience with sixt and I will not use it again.

The paperless transaction resulted in my paying much more I add-one than I realized. I couldn’t see the impact of the charges, and the salesman smoothlyexplained them in a way I did not follow well. I will demand to see the figures in writing next time. Also,the navigation system in the car needed updating - several times we were on a major autobahn or cloverleaf where we needed guidance, and the nav system thought we were in a field.

No one inspected the car with me when I picked up the car, the existing damages were written in text and not shown in picture so obviously it was not clear and there was existing damages missing from the file. Luckily I had taken videos to make sure I don’t get screwed at drop off. The car was dirty from inside and outside. There was Tobacco everywhere in the car. At drop off I got accused of a damage that was there before me and I had to show my videos so I sent multiple emails and waiting for response

I missed when booking that pickup was not at the airport. I though that’s how a booked it, apparently not. After flying all night I had to take and pay for a taxi into the city of Frankfort. Was a costly and stressful situation. I wish there was a stronger indication that it was not at the airport, especially when dealing with a foreign country.

We had to wait in a huge line that took 3.5 hours to pick up our rental car that we reserved and paid a deposit for online. We were exhausted from our long flight and jetlag. There was nowhere to sit. It was very poor service from Sixt. This is the last time I will be renting with them.

Wenn ich wochenlang Testa-Nutzungs E-Mails bekomme, erwarte ich auch einen Tesla beim Abholen. Mir wurde eine anderes E-Auto angeboten, aber der Kofferraum war nicht ausreichend. Der angebotene MB E220D war dann am anderen Endes des Angebotsspekturms. Er lies sich aber sehr gut fahren.

The location demanded that I obtain insurance and pay USD 500 before they would give me the car since I did not have a copy of my insurance showing that rental cars were covered. Who cares a copy of their insurance disclosures? If I had known, I would have obtained a copy before I left the US. Thus, I had to call my insurance company at my expense and have them email a copy that I could then email to the renal counter. I will not use Kayak nor Hertz for a rental car again and will tell all of my friends to not use them also. Not happy.

SCAM ALERT. We prepaid for our car. Our pick-up was delayed and we picked up our car 3 hours late. The manager told us the requested car was not available because we did not pick up the car within 1 hour of our scheduled pick up time per some obscure policy (despite having prepaid for the car) and that our only option was a downgrade, or we could pay an extra €200 fee for a larger car. The downgrade was too small so we paid the extra fee after 45 minutes of arguing with the staff. I’m very disappointed in the way the situation was handled. I’ve lodged a complaint with my credit card company.

The woman helping us at drop off was sooooo slow. And she didn’tfocus. There was a huge line and she got distracted with conversations. She tried to talk us into insurance which was annoying. Also tried to get us to upgrade. It took 1 hour total and that’s not acceptable. Other than that, all goes well.

The car was nothing like the vehicle indicated on the reservation - it was not "equivalent." The folks at the office in Frankfurt were professional and helpful, but unapologetic about the vehicle and its condition. The car handled poorly - desite having only 23,000km on the odometer - but did get us to Geneva ultimately.

We rented a car for a month from FRA and the process was very easy. The rental drop off and pick up is within the terminal too so it convenient. They also offered full insurance coverage on the vehicle for a very reasonable price. The car was modern, clean and got 500 miles to the tank!

I said no, and although I can speak some German I was tired after a long flight and signed the contract without noting that I was paying for additional GPS that I did not ask for. Upon returning the vehicle I spoke once again to a different person at the counter telling her the situation and was given a credit for the GPS

Turned to be a scam, supposed to be a VW Sharan van or similar, but they said there was a mistake in CarRentals.com reservation with Avis and they will give me a station wagon instead, and if I wanted a van I had to pay $1780 instead of $630. Both are unprofessional, CarRentals.com and Avis.

Nothing. Due to the autobahn being shut down for some security incident, we were unable to get to the rental pickup in time (only two hours later) and they had cancelled our reservation stating we were too late. Absolutely zero customer service from kayak and I even lost the $200 insurance for a car I never got to rent.
