The coastal town of Limassol is framed by the Troodos mountains. Its foothills provide most of Cyprus’s grapes and it has become the centre of viticulture on the island. None of this is new; Cyprus has been known to traders for its wine and sugar cane for centuries, since the days of the Crusaders.

The Municipal Gardens are a shady place to stroll and there is a small zoo for little ones to enjoy.
